New Year, Study leave
As the year draws to close it's another 360 days with no completion of the thesis. But there is a definite new hope, as I've secured a 5 week study leave period during February/March :) I've made an estimation that realistically I would need 8 weeks to complete the first manuscript, but now I'm trying to crunch it in 5. It's possible, if I plan ahead and spend a couple of weekends with the work beforehand.
I'm planning to leave Finland for the final crunch in early March, but don't quite know yet where. Wherever it will be, I will blog the final days like there would be no tomorrow - and metaphorically speaking, at least in the context of this blog and its original purpose, there actually isn't ;) In any case, the idea is to blog each day what I've accomplished, and actually publish the often-promised PDFs of each chapter as I grind through them.
So, with high expectations for 2006 in mind, I wish happy New Year to everybody!
