New year, new chapters!
This has to be the year my thesis finally gets ready and done with. My ambitions shrink week by week, so I guess that’s a good sign ;)
Where I try to keep my ambitions high are the case studies that are still missing. Alas, based on experience, this means that completing them will take more time than I expect…nevertheless, I try to do them by the end of January. In any case, there is no reason to hold back on a bunch of new material:
First off, chapter 7 draft is replaced by a slightly updated one.
Second, drafts of chapters 9, 10, and 11 are added:
Chapter 9: Motives and Manifestations of Enjoyment in Gaming Encounters
Chapter 10: Understanding Player Experiences through Emotion Categories
Chapter 11: What Player Experiences are Made of: Prospects and Sequences of Emotions
At this point, it is high time I remember to add the references:
The TOC is updated as well, with a new link on the right column. Chapters from Part IV will follow by the end of the month. Comments and feedback are certainly welcome!

Johan and I used parts of your GameGame on workshop with the swedish webagency Daddy. A lot of your thesis was used to, mixed up with Staffans och Jussis Patterns in Gamedesign. Altogether a good mix.
Loocking forward to more chapters.
